YMCA Humber has received £50,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to run our exciting YMCA – A Rich History project.
Led by young people the project started on 1 October 2015 and will focus on researching and sharing the history of YMCA Humber locally, especially the periods of the two World Wars through the production of a book and film and the archiving of the research material unearthed.
At the event, you will get the chance to meet our newly appointed Project Manager Claire Wollington as well as young people and YMCA staff members, to learn more about the project and more importantly how you can get involved yourself.
Speakers will include:
- Mark Eccleston – Archivist from our Heritage Lottery Partner the Cadbury Research Library at Birmingham University
- Alex Kyle – Grimsby & District Archive Club
We would love to see you there but if you are unable to attend but would like to know more about the project please contact:
