THERE are places still available for free activities held jointly by YMCA Humber and Oasis Wintringham at the Academy in Grimsby on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 February.
The two sessions will focus on craft work, cooking (Tuesday only) and sports and run from 11am-3pm each day.
YMCA youth workers will take the sessions and are promising plenty of fun and variety for participants.
Jocelyn Dennis is YMCA Humber’s Community Youth Worker and she led sessions that proved to be extremely popular last summer and she is looking forward to more of the same in 2016.
She said: “Our sessions in August last year proved to be very popular with upwards of 25 young people each day and we are hopeful that they will be as popular this time around.
“We will be getting creative with arts and crafts sessions and then trying a variety of different sports.
“On the Tuesday we will also be cooking up something in the kitchen.
“Last year we created pizzas from scratch, including our own pizza dough, chilli con carne and a range of desserts, which everyone enjoyed, so we will be seeing what we can come up with this time around!”
The sessions are free but must be booked in advance. If you are interested in registering, please call Michelle Perry on (01472) 871 811 or email email@example.com.
