YMCA Carol Concert Brings Projects Together

December 19, 2013

Staff, volunteers and young people from all three housing projects enjoyed a carol concert at the charity’s Peaks Lane Hostel on Thursday 19th December.

The event was organised by Peaks Lane Project Manager Jim Hudson as a way of bringing all the different YMCA projects together, so that they could ring in the festive period in style.

Alongside the traditional Christmas carols were Bible readings performed by Chief Executive Malcolm Smith, Youth and Community Services Manager Andy Tappin and Deputy Peaks Lane Project Manager Denise Carter.

After the service, a host of cakes, snacks and light refreshments – prepared by Community Youth Worker Jocelyn Dennis and young people from the hostel – were enjoyed in the YMCA support office.

YMCA staff are hopeful that the event can become an annual occurrence and that they can encourage even more friends, partners and supporters of the organisation to attend.
