YMCA Humber’s Immingham Youth Club is moving to a brand new home, starting from Monday 19 September.
The club, which has been running for the past 18 months, will now be housed at the Bert Boyden Centre on Carver Road in Immingham.
Starting out in Oasis Academy Immingham, the club has been held in the Resource Centre on Margaret Street for the past 12 months.
Over 40 young people aged 8-18 attend the club each week.
Jocelyn Dennis is YMCA Humber’s Community Youth Worker and she leads the group each Monday night.
She said: “We are really excited about the move.
“It gives us a great base to continue the good work that the club has undertaken in Immingham during the past 18 months.
“At one of our recent sessions, we were able to take young people from the club down to the Bert Boyden Centre.
“They were able get a feel for the new building and contribute to the layout of the club going forward.”
Weekly activities at the club include pool, table tennis, table football, arts and crafts and woodwork.
There is also a tuck shop with affordable drinks and snacks to purchase.
Entry to the club is 50p per person and sessions run from 6pm-7.45pm on Mondays (apart from Bank Holidays).
Young people are hoping a Grimsby Town player will be on hand to officially open the club’s new home.
