The final countdown to Sleep Easy 2020

February 6, 2020

Are you ready for Sleep Easy 2020?

By now you’ve registered, you’ve opened a Just Giving page, you have your list of what to bring; now its the final countdown to the event

Thank you for registering for Sleep Easy 2020 on Friday 7th February from 6pm until 6am on Saturday 8th February. At the moment there is no sign of rain on the forecast, but of course there are no guarantees. REMEMBER, it is winter and you must ensure you have all your ‘clothing layers’ ready to wear.

The target this year is £40,000

Our aim is to be as close as possible to this goal by the end of the evening with your help!
At the event we need to let everyone in the region know what we are doing, and why we are doing it, using the power of social media.

If we all submit posts, photos & videos we can encourage our friends & family to support us, along with empathetic followers who realise what a great cause we are raising money for!

We are extremely lucky that the venues have gifted us their space again to hold Sleep Easy 2020. Please adopt a ‘leave as you find it’ policy and ensure everywhere is left clean and tidy.

We also want to be able to recycle all the cardboard after the event. Please ensure you remove everything from your cardboard in the morning and place in the bin liners provided so we can be kind to the environment too.

Both locations have a fun-filled and informative evening planned. There will be a quiz, a shelter building competition, a buskers corner, with a warm up session too! Available for everyone to join in.

Basic refreshments plus hot and cold drinks will be available in the warm room. Unfortunately we are unable to cater for specific dietary requirements, so please bring any specialised food for your own needs.

Please arrive for registration from 6pm
If you are likely to be late to the event or wanting to leave early, please inform us by replying to this email or calling 01472 359621.

The main activities will take place from 7pm – 10.30pm

Lights out at 11pm to bed down for the night
There will still be access to the warm room.

Site cleardown from 5.30am – 6am
All cardboard to be returned to the trailer for recycling and waste gathered in the bin bags. Site to be empty by 6am.

Event volunteers will be wearing blue arm bands.

Parking will be on Level 3 of the multistorey car-park. Pedestrian access will be via the mall up to 6.30pm. After this time you will need to walk up to level 3. The smoking area will be outside.

From the main gate turn to the right and security will guide you to the rear car-park on site. The smoking area will be in the smoking shelter in the car-park.
