Fizel and Lisa’s Story

Fizal moved into the YMCA in August 2018. Fizal joined us after an unsettled period of his life where he had spent some time being street homeless. Fizal quickly began to engage in the support offered and over the course of 10 months, he prepared himself for a positive move on.

Debbie’s Blog #4 – Celebrating YMCA History

Last month YMCA Humber had the privilege of hosting the first stop-off of a national tour of a history exhibition celebrating 175 years of the YMCA. The tour started in London and is only visiting 10 locations and so it was an honour for Grimsby to be the first week-long calling point.

YMCA Humber is delighted to open an additional shared house for people in North East Lincolnshire. After acquiring and renovating this large terraced house in Grimsby, it now offers six units for women who have the skills to live semi-independently yet require some assistance with tenancy management and being self-sufficient.
