A brand new initiative to tackle loneliness and isolation among young people in North East Lincolnshire will see YMCA Humber take on a three-month project helping young people develop a community space.

Once Danny felt settled in his new accommodation, he would often be seen pottering around the Orchard Project, Cobb House or workshop, helping with practical outdoor activities come rain or shine. Danny enjoyed working outdoors and would often support other residents in their work, being an inspirational example to his peers.
Christmas came early for the residents of YMCA Humber’s Community House, with the installation of a new kitchen in December 2018. YMCA Humber secured two grants for the purchase and costs of fitting a kitchen and would like to thank The Percy Bilton Charity and The Bernard Sunley Charitable Foundation for making this possible.

Hello! I’m writing this after my first 4 days as the new CEO at YMCA Humber. I was really keen to come back to the charity sector where my heart truly lies, and my first four days have not disappointed. It’s been an action-packed start, a pace I’ll look to continue, and I’ve loved hearing about the work that we’re doing. The team at YMCA Humber have given me a warm welcome and I’m hugely grateful for that.
YMCA HUMBER, a youth charity that specialises in supported accommodation across North East Lincolnshire, is pleased to announce the appointment of Debbie Cook as its new Chief Executive. Stepping down from her role as Director of Corporate Relations at Seafish, Debbie took up her new post on 3rd December 2018.
YMCA Humber residents will sleep in extra comfort, after a generous donation from a luxury hotel.
The Doubletree by Hilton Forest Pines Spa & Golf Resort gifted the charity top quality linens, towels, and even comfy chairs, as they began a rebranding exercise.
Dozens of Hull residents will be sleeping rough in February, to raise money for local homeless charities.
And you can join them, as YMCA Humber and its partners celebrate the 10th anniversary of its annual fundraiser by raising thousands of pounds for vital work among the city’s young people.
Do you live in Immingham? Can you spare 2 or 3 hours a week to volunteer your time to support services for local young people?
Volunteers will be offered informal training, support and mentoring from YMCA Humber’s Youth & Community Team to deliver activities that will be supported by the Youth Partnership.
