Appointment of Interim Chief Executive Officer

YMCA Humber’s board of Trustees is pleased to announce, with immediate effect, the appointment of Kate Conway as the new interim Chief Executive Officer of YMCA Humber.
Stephen Gallaher Chair of Trustees at YMCA Humber said, “we are grateful that Kate has agreed to step into this role at an important time for the charity and we are confident that Kate has the right depth of experience and proven track record to be an impactful interim CEO as we continue to work towards completion of our Freeman Street project.”
Kate has vast experience in leading a team and will be the central point of leadership contact, both internal and external, to all staff, external partners and stakeholders and will provide stability and cohesion during this very exciting period and as the organisation undergoes its search for a permanent CEO.
Kate Conway added, “It is an honour to accept this position on an interim basis. As a team we have all been worked hard to bring our future vision to fruition later this year. Our mission will not change, and I am committed to supporting the interests of the charity and fulfilling my role as CEO of this outstanding local charity.”
Stephen Gallaher continued, “on behalf of the board of Trustees, we warmly welcome Kate to this important leadership role, she will work alongside the board of Trustees and the Senior Leadership Team and we look forward to her joining us for our next full board meeting.”
