‘Give it to get it, make respect the new normal’ workshop

Today we were joined by the NSPCC and York St John University theatre department who delivered a workshop on healthy relationships.
The York St John University theatre department was commissioned by the NSPCC to tour youth and community provisions in Grimsby to deliver their current workshop: ‘Give it to get it, make respect the new normal’, which focuses on domestic violence and control.
Some of our residents who sat in on this workshop said, “I loved how emotive the actors were, it was as if they were going through this themselves.”
“It was definitely worth watching, it was really good but hard at the same time.”
“The actors made these situations seem realistic when showing someone being mentally and physically manipulated.”
We would like to thank both teams for coming in today and delivering this workshop to our staff and residents.
