Bradbury Café Cook (Relief)
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for planning an interesting and varied menu which provides a balanced diet to our customers and residents, and in addition to daily breakfast and lunchtime services, will prepare buffets for bookings within the association and ensure resident breakfasts are provided each morning.
During day-to-day service you will have responsibility in:
- Ordering and rotation of locally sourced and fresh groceries.
- Supervision of the overall cleanliness of the kitchen preparation area.
- Ensuring all Health and Safety standards are met, though food standards certification.
- Keeping up to date records of food supplies in line with HSA.
An NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Catering is essential to this role, with Food Hygiene and Allergen Training advantageous, although additional mandatory training will be provided including COSHH, Infection Control and HACCP.
Relief Hours
As a Relief worker you will have the flexibility to undertake a variety of shifts whilst supporting the Catering Team via a zero-hour agreement, covering absence, annual leave, and additional functions in line with the needs of the service.
This fluid and flexible role is ideal for anyone seeking additional hours or paid work alongside current studies, and would suit anyone wishing to progress in the catering field.
