Youth Worker : Music

At YMCA Humber we support young people through a wide range of youth work approaches, from group work to youth club activities and outreach intervention. We are now looking for part time contracted staff to join our team and bring rhythm and creativity into our sessions within our Youth Club provision.

If you can inspire, energise and motivate young people through melody, singing, drumming, DJing or simply sharing the joy of music with our youth club members we want you on our team.

You will help create a safe, inclusive and vibrant space where young people can express themselves, discover new talents and build confidence through hands-on experience. From experimenting with their first chords and writing hooks to discovering new instruments, group jams and performance projects, you will tailor activities to meet their needs and spark imagination 

With experience and qualifications in Youth and Child development and a real passion for music you will deliver exciting centre-based work within the East Marsh of Grimsby. In addition you will help youth club members develop essential life skills through creativity and collaboration, supporting their growth both in the club and across our outreach programmes.

HOURS OF WORK

• Role works to a 8 hour per week contract.
• Sessions are aligned to an early evening youth work rota.  

RATE OF PAY 

• £12.60 - £13.60 per hour (dependant upon qualifications.)
