We’re Running for Kent Street – Help Us Go the Distance

Kent Street Youth Hub
Kent Street Youth Hub is more than just a building. It’s a place of safety, community and growth for young people in one of Grimsby’s most challenged areas. From youth groups to support and mentoring, it’s where lives are changed. While we’ve made great progress since purchasing the site in 2023, we want to invest even further in:
- Brighter, more welcoming communal spaces
- Upgraded equipment and activity rooms
- Better access and comfort for young people facing hardship
- A future-facing space that meets local needs
With your help, we can make Kent Street the heart of the East Marsh that young people truly deserve.

The Team
We’re proud that this effort is being led by the people who live and work in the local community. Our team includes:
- Kate Conway, Chief Executive, running the full marathon
- Amy Rogers, Trustee, also running the full marathon
- Two relay teams made up of YMCA Humber staff from across our services
We’re not professional runners, we’re youth workers, counsellors, housing officers, support staff and more. But we’re taking on this challenge together because we believe in Kent Street, and in the young people of Grimsby.

Follow Our Journey
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing:

Donate Today
Every step we take is for the young people of Grimsby. Every pound you give goes straight to improving their space, their support, and their future.
