Afterschool Assistant

At YMCA Humber we provide Wraparound Care to local schools across the East Marsh in Grimsby and currently appointing Sessional Workers who wish to join our existing team. This role will work flexibly to align with the local authority educational timetables and primarily involve the smooth delivery of our ‘Walking Bus Service’ from 2.00pm daily up to 6.00 pm.  

As a key member of our team you will support in the safe collection of children from our local primary schools and have the confidence to converse with school staff and parents at collection time from our main facility. In addition, you will support in the set up of activities for the children once in our care, and have the willingness to engage in some fun and inclusive activities and games.

HOURS OF WORK

• Due to the fluid nature of the hours, working to a sessional zero hour agreement.
• This role would ideally suit students and part time workers.
• In addition we have the option to provide work placement for those currently studying.
• Please note all applicants must by 18+  due to Ofsted requirements.   

SESSIONAL RATE OF PAY 

• £12.60 per hour + £1.52 rolled up leave allowance
