About The Role
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and proactive individuals to join our team at Clee Fields Sports Development Facility for the busy summer holiday period and beyond. Based in the heart of Grimsby, our Sports Facilities Assistants play an essential front-facing role in supporting the day-to-day operation of our community and sports facility.
Over the six-week summer holiday programme, we will be delivering a wide range of activities across the site, and we are recruiting sessional
staff members to help ensure sessions run safely, effectively, and professionally. Under the leadership of our Sports Services Lead you will support the preparation and supervision of activities, assist with operational duties across the facility, and help create a welcoming environment for all visitors and service users.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operation of the sports facility.
- Prepare activity areas and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure service users access and vacate activity areas in line with sessional bookings.
- Provide excellent customer service and build positive working relationships with service users.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Support the delivery of summer activities and events across the site.
- Work collaboratively with the wider facilities team to ensure the site operates proactively.
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic individuals with strong communication and customer service skills who can work confidently within a busy, front-facing environment. Successful candidates will be able to work effectively as part of a team while taking responsibility for a range of hands-on operational duties across the facility. Previous experience within a sports, leisure, or operational environment would be advantageous, although a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.

Working Pattern:
- Sessional hours align to temporary employment undertaken for a fixed period. Hours are assigned during busy seasons or specific projects, where employees are hired to meet short-term operational needs or increased demand.
Hourly Rate :
- £13.45 per hour (plus rolled up leave allowance 12.07%)
