A Message From Kate

At YMCA Humber, we believe everyone should have a fair chance to discover who they are and what they can become.

We are aware of misinformation circulating on local social media pages regarding our accommodation service.

We want to be very clear that all referrals into our service are made through the Homeless Team at North East Lincolnshire Council and assessed in line with housing legislation, including checks on immigration status, local connection and the right to access public funds.

If you are homeless or at risk of homelessness we encourage you to contact the Council’s homeless prevention service as soon as possible on (01472) 326296 (Option 1). As all referrals to our accommodation services are made via the Homeless Team at North East Lincolnshire Council.

If you feel you need assistance or support to contact the homeless team, we’d be happy to help. Our drop-in service ‘Advice. Support. Wellbeing. Action.’ is available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9am to 12 noon at 21 Freeman Street. We offer free, face-to-face advice and personal support, in a welcoming space at the heart of the community. You don’t need an appointment. Just come in, be heard, and get help.

We believe everyone should have a safe place to stay and the opportunity to belong, contribute and thrive within our community.
