YMCA Humber Celebrates New PlayZone with Community Fun Day

YMCA Humber is delighted to announce the official opening of its brand-new PlayZone 2G Multi Use Games Area at Kent Street, Grimsby, with a special Community Fun Day on Friday 12th September, from 3pm to 7pm.

The exciting new facility is part of YMCA Humber’s ongoing commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and engaging spaces for young people and families across North East Lincolnshire. The PlayZone 2G area provides a modern, all-weather pitch suitable for a wide range of sports and activities, supporting both recreational play and organised community programmes.

To mark the occasion, YMCA Humber is inviting the whole community to join in the celebrations. The day will kick off with the official opening of the PlayZone at 3pm, followed by an afternoon of fun-filled activities until 7pm.

• Food & BBQ available to purchase throughout the event

This event is completely free to attend, and everyone is welcome.

It will provide a safe and vibrant space where people of all ages can come together, be active, and enjoy themselves. The Community Fun Day is the perfect way to celebrate, and we hope to see families from across the area come along.”

The PlayZone is part of YMCA Humber’s wider redevelopment of the Kent Street site, which also includes a Youth Hub, a Skate Park and an open access tarmac MUGA, designed to provide inclusive opportunities for young people and the local community.
