Advice. Support. Wellbeing. Action.

What We Offer
This service is a partnership between YMCA Humber and Citizens Advice, designed to support people who are experiencing hardship or facing difficult decisions. We are here to help you take action, not just give advice.
You can drop in for support with:
- Monday: Benefits
- Tuesday: Housing
- Wednesday: Debt
Drop-in opening times:
Monday to Wednesday, 9.00am – 12.00 noon
Location: 21 Freeman Street, Grimsby

How It Works
When you arrive, a member of our team will speak with you to understand your situation. You might be seen by a Citizens Advice adviser for expert help on things like benefits, housing, or debt issues.
If you need more than advice, for example emotional support, help with follow-up actions, or someone to talk things through, you will be offered support from our wellbeing team.
We will not just send you away with a leaflet. Our staff can help you:
- Make phone calls
- Fill in forms
- Plan your next steps
- Build your confidence
- Connect with other services or groups
This is support that sticks. You will have a named contact who can check in with you, help keep things on track, and offer encouragement along the way.

Who It’s For
This service is based in the community, easy to reach, and designed to meet you where you are. It is open to anyone in the East Marsh who is:
- Facing a financial crisis
- At risk of losing their home
- Struggling with debt or managing money
- Feeling isolated, anxious or overwhelmed
- Unsure where to turn for help
Our Approach
We know that information alone is not enough. Sometimes, life is too hard, too fast, or too much to handle without someone walking alongside you. That is why we offer a different kind of support, combining advice, wellbeing and action in one place. Our aim is simple:

Get in Touch
You do not need a referral. Just come in during our drop-in opening hours (Monday to Wednesday, 9.00am – 12.00 noon) or contact us for more information.
