YMCA Humber welcome Louise to the team!

Louise Harling, Head of Youth and Community Services

“My background is largely working in Sports Development and Operational Management roles. I have worked in the Local Authority, for a Charity and also in the Private Sector so have a broad spectrum of experience. I am very excited to be working at YMCA and love the ethos and atmosphere here. I feel very positive about the future for the youth and communities’ provision and growing our team to ensure that the best possible services are available within reach of our local community. I have previously organised and developed targeted programmes in North East Lincolnshire and understand the localities and their needs. I am looking forward to increasing our current provision based around our existing facilities and beyond, with outreach work providing physical activity and wellbeing sessions to benefit the lives of those accessing our services. Initially I will be working with our already established youth and wellbeing teams to understand the current need, and develop new activities with them to complement our offer to existing service users, and encourage new participants to access our fantastic activities.

Outside of work I love spending time with my wife and two girls. We go to a lot of music and comedy gigs and like to have full diaries of things to look forward to. I am physically active and have 3 dogs that encourage me to get out of the house and move more every day!”
