Graffiti artist visits youth club
Over the upcoming months we plan to work with the community of the East Marsh to finalise our renovation plans, ensuring we create a safe place for youths to spend their time.
We have started work on the skate park which came from a consultation session we ran with the skate park users.
We are also keen to engage with the late teens who congregate at the skate park, undertaking anti-social behaviour (including graffiti). We have recently connected with Lynsey Powles, a local graffiti artist, to work with our youth club / skate park users to design artwork for this space.
Lynsey has run two graffiti sessions with our youth club which they all thoroughly enjoyed, the aim of this project is to engage with the kids and to incorporate their ideas in the final graffiti designs.
